Seasoned Employment Counsel

Amy Babat Greenberg has over 30 years’ experience counseling senior management and human resources professionals on all aspects of employment law. As the top U.S. employment lawyer for a major international pharmaceuticals company, Amy developed significant expertise in providing clear, practical and business-focused legal advice to senior business leaders. Amy has substantial experience developing, reviewing and counseling on human resources policies, practices and strategies that comply with U.S. federal, state and local laws, and minimize exposure to costly employment litigation.

Experience:

Before establishing Greenberg Employment Law Counseling LLC, Amy was Vice President and Head Human Resources Counsel for Novartis Corporation, serving as the top U.S. employment lawyer for the Novartis Group worldwide. She spent over 20 years in increasingly responsible employment law positions with Novartis Group Companies, developing deep substantive expertise, as well as the ability to provide effective, pragmatic and constructive legal advice to managers at all levels and with all degrees of knowledge about employment law and the U.S. legal system. Amy headed up the U.S. Human Resources Counsel Network at Novartis, serving as mentor to Human Resources lawyers at all U.S. Novartis Group Companies.

Prior to her employment with the Novartis Group, Amy was an associate with Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler, where she practiced employment law and traditional labor law, and served as in-house counsel to the Firm’s Human Resources department.
